Whenever I hear people say, “I don’t like religion or the Christian God because he created or allows evil” , it bewilders me. Not only because I know that God is real and He’s healed me, but also because the world’s healing is right on the other side of us collectively honoring Him.
Now, if we really want to go deep and start the conversation of reprobates or destiny… even then… the reality of evil and uncontrollable variables exist with or without “god”, and THE God is still our only remedy and hope of salvation. So why would you take that away or press against “relief”?
Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe when people have a problem with other’s beliefs it’s either because you hate the sins/evils of the people in these sects or you enjoy a sin they condemn. In which case sin is your true problem.
• This post is to encourage people to remember that God is good, by hopefully lessening the burden of sin.
There are indeed sacrifices in taking up your cross and serving God, but did you know following God is harder or easier depending on the culture?
Like if we all shared the same beliefs there’d be harmony, but because we have different values and goals there is conflict.
EXAMPLE: Where people don’t agree to correct racism(sin) or sexism(sin), safety is harder to find for certain groups. Where people don’t mutually live in sexual morality(the opposite is sin), then an unadulterated, pure marriage or neighborhood is harder to find. Where people are greedy(sin) or covetous(sin), the simple things are no longer enjoyed, including the simplicity of the love of God.
Things are only an effort away, for the good or the bad. How are you seeking and impacting change around you? Are you remembering to put God first, and to trust Him, and praise Him seeing that betrayal of Him is betrayal of ourselves. We are “gods” through Him, able to discern and live righteously (John 10:34-36). But outside of Him we have no power over the culture. You cannot control your neighbor without oppression. Through Christ we are all free and equal (Galatians 3:26-29). Remember this when serving Him is heavy. It’s not Him, His burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30). It’s the opposition against him; it’s the sin within ourselves and others that is making the earth groan. And the remedy is not to curse those who oppose Him or to shame yourself, but to bless others with truth given in love and to receive redeeming grace(1st Cor. 13:12-13).
