You Can Ask God Questions! #Religion

“If your religion teaches you not to question, then your religion is hiding somethings from you.”

Bold concept, I know.
Sometimes we need the jolt.
Let’s talk about it!

Firstly…

Christianity does not teach to not have or ask questions!

I honestly take pride in this post, as to counter the claim that all religions are the same, or that all christians have blind faith.

My faith is not blind,
and neither is the love I have for God.
And that’s because I have asked questions,
that have brought me into greater clarity
and appreciation of Him and His heart.

God has nothing to hide,
so He isn’t afraid of questions.
Numbers 23:19 “God is not man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will not do? Or has He spoken, and will not make it good?
We teach ourselves not to question because of fear or maybe out of reverence
(which is wise until it stifles wisdom),
not knowing that the God of Abraham,
the one true God #Yahweh, is radical.
He actually wants to communicate with us, teach us and not have our faith empty of truth and in blindness.

That’s a profound thought to some
(and to some religions) that God is relational and amongst us…

Let it be!

It is amazing and shocking!

More scripture verses:

James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom,
let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

Jeremiah‬ ‭33:3 “‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’”

If we will have wisdom, God knows He has to give it to us. And He enjoys our coming to Him, as the Heavenly Father that He is, and enlightening us as His children.

We have freedom however to communicate with Him or not, but if you desire this unity, know that you can have your questions!
Speak openly to God about your doubts.
And know that scripture answers SO many questions that we have already. (God is the Word – John1) And if you read the Psalms you will see how sincere and open you can be with God about your feelings.

I wish I knew in advance how loving God is about our wonders, and how full and firm faith is. This would have spared a lot of time and many ‘lost’ feelings.

Faith is not vain hope nor illogical.
It is an assurance in truth/ in God and Christ, where grace allows you to understand spiritual/unseen things and how they align with life.

‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:1‬ “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Hebrews 11:6 ““And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those
who sincerely seek him.”

I saved this photo from the page of an atheist after talking to them. Atheist are the reason I have grown so much in my faith. Them not believing God exist
subtracts that fear of asking questions, I assume, and they will question you with the hard stuff.

Needing God I fearfully took that stuff to Him and He surprisingly answered. With grace! Ah! Praise Him!

Guess I owe thanks in a way.

God loves you, and us, even in our frustrations with Him.

He knows that they come from confusion,
but that’s why He wants us to understand His love personally.

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:8‬ ““For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.”

‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2:3-6‬ “… God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity— the man Christ Jesus.
He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.”

Asking God questions relieves a lot of uncertainty and tension, or at least gives peace and thankfulness to be one with Him! (Because I have found that God will remain mysterious about some things- the things we don’t have to know- and you have to enjoy trust and love over extra knowledge at that point, but you can ask!)

Yes! Enjoy that fellowship without fear, and talk to God!
