Righteous Anger

If you don’t learn the difference between someone who is against you, and someone who challenges you… you’ll be pushing away nourishment for your soul to embrace those who will starve it.

So…

I have a side of frustration that doesn’t show in the photos I share. I feel like it’s a face that doesn’t showcase the depth of my heart.

It’s also a rare mood, as my mind is often granted to be wrapped in peaceful things, without the need for anger. But anger should have its place.

One thing I get frustrated about is how anger is associated with unloving. Love gets angry. It gets angry when people twist and degrade the truth about pure love. It gets angry when it sees injustice. It gets angry when the innocent is hurt, when lies are embraced, when evil is enjoyed. Don’t you get angry when you see mistreatment? Love gets angry.

Love disciplines and forbids certain things. Don’t mark someone as cold because they draw healthy lines. Keep the anger in context. And keep anger within good motives, grace and in self-control.

“They may have embraced your toxicity and you behaving as a monster, but who brought out the best in you?”

I still struggle calling out stuff I see as harmful in others, because I don’t want them to feel “judged” or pushed away. But disagreement doesn’t equal division, unless you turn it into that. And disagreement is a sign that truth needs to be sought and submitted to in a certain area.

• Like, “I don’t agree with how harsh you speak.” Truth: “I could speak kinder, but I don’t mean any harm.” “I could consider your motives more.” Rather than everyone being endlessly offended and unprogressive, unreasonable.

Allow people to challenge you! Allow yourself to welcome correction. Noticing you’re imperfect is not the end of the world. The person speaking to you is as well. We can all grow, and grow together.
Also create a space with others where you can challenge them, where they know it’s from a place of love. (welcome. haha)

God’s restoring love, patience peace, and Truth!

On my spaces, I may challenge or correct certain topics biblically, but it’s never to push you away, but to edify you under one truth, so we’ll have one mind and one heart that’s unified in God’s love forever! End goal!
