Discovering Peace through Discovering Scripture

This is a lovely truth!
I’ve discovered that most of our worries come from not seeing things through the lens of scripture… Because God’s word and redemption through Christ changes everything when it’s active!

We have to intentionally renew our mind, because if we are spiritually blind and deaf we won’t see or hear things correctly, unless we intentionally get our sight renewed and ears opened.
(And if we are already spiritually reborn and awakened, then we know it is a daily death to the flesh that seeks to tempt and deceive us from God’s word.)
⠀⠀
Philippians 4:7 “and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Can I ask you, what are the teachings of Jesus that bring this peace?
⠀⠀
Christians must know these things because these are the foundations of our faith. And we are justified by our faith/believing in what God has done through Christ. Many believers have set their faith in such a vague Jesus, it’s not even Jesus anymore.

(I know growing up this was the case for me, which is why I was only truly saved a few years back, at 19, when I started reading God’s Word for myself. Being where I am, 1.actually saved! but 2. not struggling in half the ways I did growing up I’m sharing this with my readers. So that we’ll all be redeemed together! There is such a paradise to come!!)

Faith is not hope in hope. Faith is hope in truth. & God always proves His word true in due time! So imagine the thanksgiving and purpose and peace that outflows in that season where He proves trusting in Him is not vain and waiting on Him despite lies toward temptation is always right! This is the beauty of being a child of God! And it’s also what makes us more and more faithful to God. God does not expect us to clean ourselves up, or to be pure and righteous by our attempt, strength or wisdom… But through Him. His wisdom. Him teaching us to believe something stronger than sin, while hoping it’s true and waiting for Him to come through and show you personally it’s true!
He alone destroys sin.

So we wait for Him to do it, and He always does it in our waiting (He’s promised sanctification, and that we won’t be enslaved to sin) because in that waiting is a taking up of a new perspective. A taking up of His word/ His perspective, and if you see as God/Jesus Christ/the Holy Spirit.. you live like Christ, holy in God.

In grace, God shows His faithfulness to His children, and then we become more trusting and more faithful by the evidence of His love. We start to see His truth become beauty to us. His hand of grace and mercy becomes redemption for us. Taking up and receiving His light becomes new direction for us, and that new path leads away from His wrath. The faith saves us because of the truth that abides in it. Truth sets us free (once and for all, and ongoingly/ justification and sanctification)! It unbinds us from sin, it’s deceptions and lies.

So what are the teachings/truths, that bring this peace of unity, victory and salvation?

I believe this is what so many believers have lost… and it’s why we act as people who don’t have the peace of God or God at all (in the perspective of unbelievers)!… Know that God is a Father who wants to give us peace! And that He’ll give us grace to find our way. So make aim to get back under His teachings, rather than the world’s teachings and rest in Him. 🙂

The truth is Jesus as THE redeemer and alpha omega/ savior and lord.

His mission was to connect us back to God, not to get people into heaven. Heaven is the land of milk and honey where we can worship God in peace. Not continue worshiping ourselves, and ignoring Him. He’s too wonderful to be ignored anyway. Let’s really get to know Him, and all the peace in Him. He desires intimate relationships with all of us! We are never to far gone! He came to save sinners/ the broken and the rebels. (John14)
